Staff Appreciation

Chair:

The Staff Appreciation Chair(s) organizes gifts and events, including monthly staff lunches, to show appreciation for our dedicated teachers and staff. With the support of the whole school, the Chair also coordinates a week-long celebration during National Teacher Appreciation Week in May.

Bellevue Schools Foundation Liaison
Bellevue Schools Foundation Liaison

Chair:

Bellevue Schools Foundation helps bridge the gap between the basic funding provided by the State of Washington and what our students truly need to excel. The BSF Liaison attends on educational luncheon per month and then attends the Enatai PTSA Board Meeting and reports on what they learned at the BSF luncheon. The BSF Liaison also helps find people to volunteer with BSF's phone-a-thon in the fall and the Spring For Schools luncheon in the spring.

Enatai students participate in Hopelink's End Summer Hunger cash/coin drive to raise funds to support hungry and homeless children.

Food Share Program

What's the food share program? The Washington School Food Share Program was developed to help prevent and minimize wasted food in schools, and redirect consumable food to those who need. Enatai Elementary along with 9 other BSD elementary schools (Puesta del Sol, Spiritridge, Woodridge, Medina, Eastgate, Somerset, Cherry Crest, Newport Heights and Lake Hills) to helping recover food from the cafeteria and share it with those who need it most in our community. Parent volunteers delivered the collected food to the Bellevue Hopelink Food Bank.

Our Fall & Spring book fairs give students a chance to shop for new books. This program helps us earn "Scholastic Dollars" that buy books for our classrooms, library, and "Scholastic News" for all classrooms!

Enatai's Book Fair is an opportunity for students to purchase award-winning books at school from Scholastic Books. Book fairs occur in the spring and fall. Our school is awarded points based on the amount of books sold which can be redeemed to purchase new books & supplies for Enatai's library and classrooms.

RUN WALK & ROLL is one of Enatai's most popular school-wide activities. Students, staff, and families look forward to this energetic and fun event every year. Students collect donations from families and friends, and, on the day of the event, students circle the field collecting marks for each lap. Familes are welcome to attend and cheer on their student!

Enatai collects Box Tops & Labels for Education in a bin in the front office. Twice a year, a generous parent volunteer bundles them up and mails them in to raise easy money for our Eagles.

The curriculum enhancement committee is a group of six parents - one or two per grade level - who works with teachers on coordinating field trips, assemblies, etc. that connect to their curriculum, deepening students' understanding of material.

Academic Adventure
Academic Adventure

Chair:

Enatai Eagle Academic Adventure encourages kids to stretch themselves by choosing their own adventures in Reading, Math/Coding, Science, the Arts, Social Studies, Geography, and Fitness. Kids learn to set goals, work hard, and reap the rewards of their efforts. At the end of the year, participants earn awards and recognition.

Reflections is a 40 year old national PTSA sponsored art program in which kids express their creativity through words, pictures, music, photography, and other art forms toward a specific theme.

Enatai families are offered a variety of clothing and accessories with the Enatai logo. Students are encouraged to wear their Eaglewear on Tuesdays to show their school spirit.

Part of the Geographic Enrichment Program in Academic Adventure, 4th and 5th Graders compete in in a school-wide geographic competition in January. The winner will proceed to an online State Qualifer for a chance to proceed to the State Championship in March and the National title in May.

**In need of a chair!**
Learn about energy, motion and the consequences of design engineering. Then watch to see whether each falling egg will survive intact or SPLAT! In this engineering challenge students are tasked with building a container/device that will protect a raw, uncooked egg as it is dropped from a 70-foot high ladder by the Bellevue Firefighters!

Multicultural Week & International Taste Of Enatai
Multicultural Week & International Taste Of Enatai

A week-long celebration of our multicultural community with activities and experiences inviting our students to learn about other cultures and share their own. The week culminates in the International Taste of Enatai Multicultural Night, where families are invited to share food, host cultural crafts or games, and demonstrate traditional performances on the Enatai stage.
